Location Tracking Notice
Effective 30 September 2026 · Beta 0.9
In short
Your location is recorded only between tapping Start trip and ending the trip. We use it to measure distance for your reimbursement and to confirm visits. Nothing is tracked on days off, after a trip ends or when the app isn't running a trip. The trip screen always shows when tracking is on.When tracking is on
| Moment | What is recorded |
|---|---|
| Start trip | One accurate GPS fix, plus the odometer photo stamped with location and time |
| During the trip | A GPS point every few seconds while you move (location, accuracy, time) |
| Customer visit | One GPS fix plus the visit photo stamped with location and time |
| End trip | One final GPS fix plus the end odometer photo |
| No active trip | Nothing |
What it is used for
- Calculating the distance you travelled and the amount you're owed.
- Cross-checking GPS distance against your odometer readings.
- Showing your approver the route and visit locations so they can approve your claim.
- Showing administrators who is currently on an active trip (Live Fleet), for safety and operations.
Location data is not used to rate your performance automatically, and it isn't shared for marketing.
Offline and weak signal
If you lose signal, GPS points are saved on your phone and uploaded when you're back online. Saved points are removed from the phone once the server confirms it has them.
Your control
- Your phone asks for location permission. You can withdraw it at any time in the phone's settings.
- Trips can't be recorded without location, because distance is what we reimburse. If you can't share location, speak to your manager about an alternative.
- You can see every point recorded for your trips on the trip's route map.
Who can see it
You, your reporting managers (RM1/RM2) and administrators. Retention is described in Data We Store & Retention.
